On the Road to the Party Primaries

Candidates have officially began qualifying to run for office on Monday.

Of the hundreds of candidates who passed through the capitol, two stood out more than the rest.

Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock and his Republican challenger Herschel Walker.

Warnock has not seen much competition for his seat.

However, Walker received harsh words from one of his top party adversaries, Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black.

In a statement sent to 11Alive, Black’s spokesman said, “Walker isn’t smart enough to debate anybody, he and his team know he’d be humiliated.”

Walker did not acknowledge Black, instead looking to the future, and a potential debate with Senator Warnock.
