Craigslist exchange turns assault, robbery near the dorms

The Milledgeville Police Department has yet to make an arrest in last week’s Craigslist exchange turned assault, robbery near the dorms.
The victim, Kasuway Byas, agreed to meet a woman from Craigslist at Central City Park to sell his PlayStation4 around 5 p.m.
The woman arrived with an unknown Black man. According to the MPD report, the man approached Byas while holding his waistband and shoved him to the ground.
He then robbed Byas of his PS4, controller and $120.
The suspects fled in a burgundy Ford Taurus towards South Tattnall Street.
Following the incident, GC Public Safety sent a mass text message to students alerting them to the situation. The MPD contacted GC authorities to review security camera footage of the incident, but it is unclear if the footage revealed anything noteworthy.
Craigslist safety guidelines encourage meeting in a public place and having a friend accompany you.
